MEET PAUL ANTONELLI

 Paul Antonelli, a lifelong resident of upstate New York and a licensed real estate agent with Huck Realty, comes to Tryon Enterprises after spending 28 years working as an award-winning journalist for the Daily Gazette, Amsterdam Recorder and Catskill Daily Mail. Antonelli, who has won 26 national and state journalism awards, was also a long-time syndicated columnist for daily newspapers worldwide, covering Mike Tyson for a 12-year stretch. Antonelli traveled with Tyson, including both his bouts in Tokyo, Japan, and was the first journalist worldwide to be granted an exclusive interview with Tyson following his shocking loss to James "Buster" Douglas in Tokyo. Antonelli was instrumental in bringing Tyson back to the upstate New York area in July 2022 for the legendary boxer’s acceptance of road signage in his name that leads into the Tryon Industrial Park. It was at the former Tryon School for Boys that Tyson was discovered by boxing trainer Bobby Stewart. Stewart was also honored, along with Tyson, with a street in his name.

Committed to excellence and accuracy, Antonelli covered his beats in a fair and professional manner and will do the same for his residential real estate clients, looking to either sell or buy a home. He was invited as a judge multiple years to critique daily newspapers in the annual Associated Press Sports Editors contest – the Academy Awards of sports journalism. The newspapers judged ranged from the largest print dailies, New York Times, Washington Post to the smallest of hometown newspapers. Also, Antonelli's family has a wide array of commercial real estate interests including apartment complexes and brings a wealth of knowledge to investors searching to buy or sell commercial property.
