Dr. Kris Verma, Md, is the Chief of Gastroenterology at Nathan Littauer Hospital in nearby Gloversville, working with a diverse patient population. Dr. Kris Verma, MD, and his partner, David Huckans, purchased the Harmony Village - a 74-suite, 4.5 acre complex that can accommodate up to 360 beds. The purchase of Harmony Village had to be approved by the E.S. Department of Agriculture and the New York State Attorney General’s Office.
Verma was part owner of a very profitable River Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center in Norwich, CT, for more than five years. Dr. Verma has an excellent reputation supported by numerous community physicians and was trained in internal medicine as a resident physician at New York Cornell Queens Division. He is board certified in multiple specialties and licenses to practice as a physician in New York, Connecticut and Florida.
Both, Verma and Huckans, also are partners, owning Tryon Enterprises - a 30-unit complex on the site of the former Tryon School for Boys & Girls in Johnstown, NY. The complex consists of 10 efficiencies, 10 two-bedroom and 10 one-bedroom units. The complex is also on the grounds where former heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, was discovered by Bobby Sterwart. Both Harmony Village and Tryon Enterprises are facilities located in a well needed geographically underserved area with limited housing availability for thousands of current and future residents.
